About Zach Matheny

Specializations: Strength Building, Bodybuilding, Movement Patterns

Zach has spent much of his life surrounded by sports and fitness, having played collegiate soccer here locally at Capital University. After suffering from a blood clot, Zach took a step back from soccer and re-focused his efforts towards his over-all health. During that time he became a CPT (Certified Personal Training) and has chosen to pursue it full-time.

Over the past few years Zach has begun powerlifting and his discipline to training has lead him to hold several records in the state of Ohio. With 15+ powerlifting meets and 3 bodybuilding shows under Zach's belt, competition has always been a driving force in his life. Finding that there was no one competition where one could compete in both powerlifting and bodybuilding, Zach is a co-founder of OPBA (Ohio Power Bodybuilding Association). This weekend event features a Bodybuilding competition on Saturday, followed by a Powerlifting competition on Sunday.

These unique experiences have brought Zach a vast amount of knowledge from varying corners of fitness. While your focus may not be on powerlifting or bodybuilding, quality of movement carries over to whatever your goal may be. Get in contact with Zach and setup a Free Movement Assessment if you are thinking about hiring a personal trainer.
